Quick takeaways
- Hyatt Zilara Cancun is a 5-star, adults-only all inclusive in the Cancun Hotel Zone, between the lagoon and the Caribbean.
- All 310 suites have ocean views.
- When I visited, dining was reservation-free, with great à la carte choices.
- The resort reopened in May 2026 after a full renovation, with redesigned suites, a refreshed lobby, pools and spa, and new restaurants.
I had the opportunity to do a site inspection at Hyatt Zilara Cancun, and I’m SO glad I did! This is a fantastic property that should not be overlooked for your next adults-only trip!
My site inspection at Hyatt Zilara Cancun

I was blown away the minute I walked in! The lobby and the atrium are gorgeous, and the view goes straight through to the turquoise ocean as soon as you arrive. It took my breath away!

The pictures really don’t do this property justice! If you have any questions, I’m always happy to answer them.
Hyatt Zilara Cancun, I’ll be back!
Who it’s perfect for
This is the perfect adults-only resort for couples, and it’s great for a friends getaway too! It’s close to downtown Cancun if you want to do some shopping or hit up the nightlife, but far enough away that it’s not a bother at all.

What I loved
- Ocean views everywhere! All 310 suites face the ocean, and when I visited the rooms had hot tubs and hammocks on the balcony.
- Limitless dining. When I was there, there were no reservations and no limits, so you could enjoy the à la carte restaurants as often as you wanted. And the food was GREAT, with lots of choices!
- Something for every mood. Plenty of daytime activities if you want entertainment, and a quiet pool if you just want to relax.
- Fun nights. Evening entertainment and nighttime bar fun (but no disco at the hotel).
- The spa. It was INCREDIBLE! So beautiful, and it smells AH-MAZING!
- The secret pool upstairs. It looks out over the lagoon and is a perfect serenity escape!

What’s new: the 2026 renovation
Hyatt Zilara Cancun reopened in May 2026 after a full renovation, so it’s had a big glow-up since my visit!
- Suites: All 310 suites were redesigned with natural materials, warm earthy tones, local artwork and handcrafted details.
- Lobby and public spaces: Everything was refreshed, and the infrastructure was fully modernized.
- Pools and beach: The pool area was reconfigured with more shade and new loungers, and there’s a new, more private zone on the beach for quiet relaxation.
- Zen Spa: The spa was reimagined, with new hydrotherapy journeys and wellness experiences. I can’t wait to see it!
- Dining: All 12 restaurants got new designs and upgraded menus.
- Bokeh: A 1920s art-deco speakeasy that seats just 23 people. It’s a 90-minute experience with cocktails, wine and live music, booked through the culinary concierge.
- Casa Adelita: A brand-new Yucatecan dining experience with one seating a day for just 10 guests.
- Olio D’Olivia: A new waterfront Italian restaurant with handmade pastas and risottos.
Amy’s tipThe photos and video in this post are from my 2023 visit, before the renovation. Ask me and I’ll share the newest photos of the redesigned suites and restaurants!
