Travitude Travel Group – FAQ
What types of trips do you book?
Our educated and qualified travel agents can book you anywhere in the world! We specialize in cruises, family getaways, adventure tours, group travel, coach tours, Disney Vacation packages and all-inclusive resorts worldwide. We can help you customize the perfect trip that meets your desires and budget. Whatever your dream getaway looks like, we’ve got you covered.
When is the best time to book my trip?
We recommend booking any trip as far in advance as you possibly can for the best pricing and availability. Most types of travel can be booked up to one year in advance. Most ocean and river cruises can be booked 2–3 years in advance.
I already have a trip booked, but need your assistance. Can you help?
We don’t have access to trips you booked yourself or through another travel agent, so unfortunately we will not be able to provide assistance. We also can not offer any advice due to liability.
I already have a trip booked, but would like some help with excursions and/or transfers. Can you help?
Yes, we can assist you with any add‑on purchases you might require – excursions, transfers, pre/post hotel stays, theme park tickets, car rentals, even insurance. Please reach out to one of our travel consultants for assistance.
Do you charge a fee to book my trip?
We offer an initial complimentary consultation to determine if our travel services will meet your needs. There are times when we do charge a professional service fee for our services, such as flight tickets, custom itineraries, large groups, etc. Please reach out to one of our travel consultants for more information.
Why should I use one of your travel agents? I can book a trip myself.
The internet is for looking, travel agents are for booking. We know our clients by name, not by a reservation number. We develop relationships with each of our clients and build a connection. We take the time to find out all about you and the experience you’re looking for to ensure you are booking the exact vacation. We are there to support you throughout the entire trip, beginning to end. From the research and planning, to checking in on you when you’re in destination, and, in case there are any speed bumps along the way. We care! We care that you have the most fantastic vacation.
Do you sell travel insurance? Is insurance really necessary?
As a TICO licensed travel agency it is mandatory for us to discuss travel insurance every time you book a trip. While many travel suppliers offer their own type of insurance or travel protection, we are all licensed to sell Manulife Insurance. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance every trip. It protects your investment in case of cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, or other unexpected events. We’ll help you choose the right plan. Please read more about travel insurance here: Understanding Travel Insurance.
How can I pay for my trip? Do you offer payment plans?
We are only able to accept payments with credit cards (including Visa/MC debit cards) based on the individual companies we work with. We are unable to accept cash, cheques or e‑transfers. We do not offer any financing. However, we are happy to work with you on monthly (or periodic) payments towards your balance owing, ensuring that your trip is paid by the final payment date.
What is your cancellation policy?
Travitude Travel Group Modification and Cancellation Fees:
– $50 + HST per room for modifications after booking.
– $100 + HST per room for cancellations not rebooked.
After-hours or weekend “rush” modifications incur an additional fee. These agency fees are above any supplier/tour operator charges. Every travel supplier also has their own terms and conditions.
Where are you located? Can I visit your office in person?
Our head office is located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, but our team of dedicated travel consultants are home-based across Canada. While we can’t meet you in person, we are happy to schedule a phone call or video call to discuss your trip.
