Our visit
Barbara and I visited Rose Hall in October 2024 while we were in Jamaica touring resorts. There are actually three Iberostar properties here, and we toured all three so we could really compare them for our clients.
Here’s a quick walk around with us, past the kids water park and kids club and over to the pool!

Three resorts at Rose Hall
You’ll find three properties at this location:
- Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites, the family resort we’re featuring here
- Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach, which was the entry level family resort when we visited
- JOIA Rose Hall (formerly Iberostar Grand), the adults only resort (18+), closed for a refurbishment and reopening in December 2026
Important updateAs of November 1, 2026, Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach becomes an adults only (18+) resort. That makes Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites the only family resort at Rose Hall. Already booked at Waves with kids? Reach out and we’ll help you with your options.

Why we’d pick this one
When we toured, there were two family properties here, and Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites was the better choice by far. Here’s why:
- It’s centrally located on the property.
- Every room is a suite.
- You’ll have more dining choices.
- The oceanfront pool is very large, and you have access to a fantastic lazy river in the middle of the resort.
- It has the kids water park and kids club, and now it’s the family resort at Rose Hall.
Pools and lazy river
The oceanfront pool is very large, with palm trees all around and the sea right there. And then there’s the lazy river running through the middle of the resort. It’s a big hit with families!

For the kids
This is a great resort for families! There’s a great kids water park, and a kids club for ages 4 to 12. They also offer a baby club for little ones 0 to 3 (when accompanied by an adult). Travelling with teens? When we visited, the teen club was at Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach, which becomes adults only on November 1, 2026, so ask us about what’s offered for teens now.

The junior suites
All the junior suites are the same. The only difference is the view! Bedding options are 1 king or 2 double beds, and every room has a seating area with a sofa bed. Rooms hold a maximum of 4 people, and the in-room mini bar is restocked daily.

Amy’s tipSince all the junior suites are the same inside, choose your room by the view you’d like. Ask us and we’ll help you pick!
Food, bars and entertainment
You’ll have access to 7 different dining options and 6 bars to choose from, including a swim-up bar. There are daily activities and nightly entertainment too, so there’s always something going on.

Our verdict
Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites will make an excellent resort choice for your upcoming vacation to Jamaica! With all suites, lots of dining choices, a huge oceanfront pool and that fantastic lazy river, it’s the family resort Barbara and I would pick at Rose Hall, and as of November 1, 2026 it’s the only family resort there!
