Breathless Los Cabos: My Site Inspection at a Gem on the Cabo Marina

Quick takeaways
- Barbara and I toured Breathless Los Cabos together, and we both loved it! It’s a small, adults-only resort with only 169 suites, and every single one looks out over the marina and the sunset!
- You can safely walk right out the door to the marina, and the town of Cabo San Lucas is less than a 5 minute walk away.
- Breakfast is the only buffet. Lunch and dinner are all à la carte and made to order.
- There are two infinity pools: a quiet marina view pool and an ocean view activities pool.
- It has one of the only swimmable beaches in Los Cabos.
- A sunset catamaran cruise is a must! Barbara and I went, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. It leaves right from the marina.
Breathless Los Cabos (officially Breathless Cabo San Lucas Resort & Spa) is an adults-only all-inclusive sitting right on the marina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, about 45 minutes from the Los Cabos airport. My fellow Travitude Travel Group advisor Barbara Durley and I did a site inspection there together, and let me say, we thought this resort was absolutely fantastic!!!
Our visit
I had never really been to the West Coast of Mexico before. Well, I went to Puerto Vallarta when I was 18, but that’s too long ago to remember! In November 2025, Barbara and I cruised out of Los Angeles down the West Coast of Mexico. While we were in port in Los Cabos, we had the opportunity to tour Breathless Los Cabos together. We had lunch, dipped our feet in the ocean and even took a quick dip in the pool. And honestly, neither of us wanted to leave!

The suites and views
This is a small property, with only 169 contemporary suites. Every single room has an incredible marina view, including those fun sea lions! And every single room has the most breathtaking view of the sunset.

The suites are bright and modern, with floor-to-ceiling doors out to the balcony. This is the view you wake up to!

The location is the best part
I absolutely love where this resort sits. It’s entirely safe to walk out the door and explore the marina, which is full of great food and little shops. The town is less than a 5 minute walk away, and it’s filled with restaurants, shops and lively music too.
And because you’re right on the marina, excursions are SO easy. A fishing charter or a sunset catamaran cruise leaves right from there, so there’s no transfer needed!

A sunset cruise is a must!
If you only book one excursion in Cabo, make it a sunset catamaran cruise! Barbara and I sailed with Cabo Blue Boat while we were in town, and it was absolutely magical. We sailed out past the famous rock formations at Land’s End and El Arco (the Arch) while the sky turned every shade of orange and pink. Drinks in hand, music playing and the sun going down behind the rocks… it doesn’t get much better than that!

And if you’re staying at Breathless, it couldn’t be easier. The boats leave right from the marina, so you just stroll over from the resort. No early pickup and no bus ride!
Book your Cabo sunset cruise
Amy’s tipBook your sunset cruise for early in your trip. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, you’ll still have time to go another night!
Food, food and more food
There are twelve gourmet restaurants and bars, including a 24-hour coffee shop. And here’s what I loved most: breakfast is the only meal with a buffet option. Lunch and dinner are all à la carte, so everything is made to order. Barbara and I both said the food was incredible!

Two infinity pools, two different vibes
- The marina view pool is the quiet pool, and it’s closest to the coffee shop. Perfect for a lazy afternoon with a book!
- The ocean view infinity pool is the activities pool, with music and entertainment.

Amy’s tipWant to relax? Head to the marina view pool. Want the energy? The ocean view pool is where it’s happening!
A beach you can actually swim at
Many beaches in Los Cabos aren’t safe for swimming, so this is a big deal! Breathless has a golden sand beach with crystal blue water, and it’s one of the only swimmable beaches in Los Cabos. Of course Barbara and I had to dip our toes in!

Rooftop, photo ops and entertainment
There’s an award-winning rooftop lounge and a gorgeous open-air lobby. Honestly, everywhere you turn is a photo op! The entertainment is covered from day into night, with poolside DJ sets, live music, performances, art and fashion shows, and sunset socials.

Barbara and I also chatted with the guests, and many of them were repeat guests! Everyone loved their stay: the food, the location, the views and the service. I heard nothing but fantastic praise.
My verdict
I’ve now toured 4 of the Breathless resorts across Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. They’re all unique and offer something different, but I love them all the same! Breathless Los Cabos is a fantastic choice for couples and friends who want an adults-only resort with great food, gorgeous views and the marina and town right at their doorstep. Barbara and I agree: our photos really don’t do it justice!
