Top Things to Do at Castaway Cay

Our recommendations on what to see and do, based on our own experience in port.

The Family Beach

FamiliesBeach

The Family Beach is where most people spend the day: soft white sand, calm lagoon water and plenty of lounge chairs. Barbara’s family always loved checking out the fish and seashells, and Amy spent her second day here. There are beach games, a floating playground and easy access to food, drinks and restrooms.

Slides and water play in the lagoon

KidsWater fun

Right in the gorgeous water off the Family Beach, there are waterslides and a floating play area, plus a splash pad for little ones. Amy loved how much there was to do in the water, and Barbara’s family always made time for the water park.

Snorkel and meet the stingrays

SnorkelPort adventure

The snorkelling lagoon off the Family Beach has two trails, one for beginners and a longer one for more experienced snorkellers, with fish, coral and hidden Mickey and Minnie statues under the water. Barbara’s family also did the Castaway Ray’s Stingray Adventure, where you learn about the rays, hand-feed them and then snorkel alongside them. It was so much fun!

Serenity Bay, adults only

Adults only18+

Serenity Bay is the adults-only beach for guests 18 and up, on the far side of the island where you can’t even see it from the ship. Amy spent her first day here: quiet, fewer people and stunning ocean views. It has its own beach bar and BBQ lunch, and spa treatments in open-air cabanas are available for an extra cost.

Tip: Travelling with kids? Scuttle’s Cove kids’ club (ages 3 to 12) lets you sneak off to Serenity Bay for some adult time.

Bike the island or run the 5K

ActiveExplore

Castaway Cay has miles of paved paths, and bike rentals are right on the island, a great way to find quieter corners like the observation tower with views of the beaches and ships. Most mornings there’s also the Castaway Cay 5K, a fun, casual run or walk. Barbara’s family has done it twice!

Tip: If you’re sailing in summer, do the 5K early, it gets really hot on the island.
